My biggest inspiration is nature in the broadest sense of the word. Nature has to do with ourselves, since we are a part of nature. My paintings are a tribute to Suriname’s natural and cultural diversity: our multi-cultural community and our beautiful tropical nature. I'm also deriving my main inspiration from life as it develops from chilhood, expressing this in theme's like Loneliness of Childhood, Tmeless Childhood, the Time, Next Chapter, Chapter returned and most recently Sunny Life.

About the Artist (Contemporary Visual Art): Robbert Enfields’ basic motto: Work Hard in life and respect your elders. There are many things in life which we do not appreciate and respect. But, . . . if we really put effort into it, it will work out. Have you ever wondered or thought about achieving the very best in life? “Practice makes Perfect''. About the paintings: They are semi abstract and made of non-traditional material, with use of “mixed media” i.e.: rope, newspaper, flip flops, wood glue, cardboard combined with acrylic paints. The use of color is unconventional. Extended limbs, vertically placed eyes, @ formed patterns on clothes, simplified human and animal shapes are repeated in this work.
