Welcome to my gallery with a sample of some of my newest paintings. I have always enjoyed animals and nature and love to exaggerate their color and movement. I worked on a series of historic buildings, primarily farms and farmhouses. Places I wanted to remember. Still, I come back to some of my favorite subjects--the elephant, Siamese cats, roosters and other animals. I have always loved animals and surround myself with several pets.
Pittsburgh is where I call home and I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993. My work has been exhibited nationally, regionally and locally and I am known as the "elephant painter." I have been comissioned to create portraits of pets and that is something I really enjoy, especially if I am lucky enough to meet the dog or cat and can imply some personality in the artwork. Recently, I have won Best in Show with the painting titled "In the Swim." at the Penn Art members winter show. I can be reached by contacting my email at mich8441@comcast.net. Thanks for looking! Michele
