Acrylic on canvas Cyprien's Rhapsody the slow, rising wails of my violin bestow my soul with a resonant voice expressing forbidden desires, brutal, erotic in their seductive melody. gently weaving spells of enchantment whispering to me in the dark, barely audible, but so viciously luring that i yield completely to them and they explode into tirades of brisk, exhilarating notes soaring in flight on wings of passion toward the stars. and i thrive on the breath of power, mighty power swelling within me. and i know myself, feel the essence that is myself, that is the music. and i roar my delight to the universe in thunderous rhythm with the cry of the strings, that hair raising utterance drawn out in anguishing length until it seems years i have lived within this sound. o the ecstasy! copyright 2005 by Angel L.
