Acrylic on canvas Dark Moment: Dmitri the eternal flame of time over which i am lord or prisoner. i look upon it both ways at different moments. though i am only its captive when in a brief breath of weakness, i allow it to conquer me, to consume me. i allow this. for in those times, i need a respite from my burning passion driving me on through the glorious ages of man. i have been both worshipped and hunted. i have seen dark and dreary times give way to fantastical freedoms boasting of brilliant hues lighting the universe for all, mortal and immortal, to witness. truly i am thrilled to be what i am, though in my Dark Moments i will deny it emphatically. the flame of time belongs to me forevermore. and i shall drink it up with a vicious fury which those who know me have come to expect of me.
