"Bodhisattva as Guide of Souls”

In Spiritual Life & Death

Buddah-normal

In the ancient Chinese culture there was a strong belief of being led by the guidance of Buddha into a realm of paradise. The dull background creates an unknown demission. The tread of curvy purplish lines act as a floating path way. The woman figures disposition is somewhat relaxed in her mid section almost like a thrust of wind is pushing her from behind and giving the illusion of motion. The small size of the female figure compared to the Buddha on the left implies it's authoritative of powerful character. The geometric circles around his head characterizes a spiritual influence. The artist used the linear perspective technique on the placement of the building structure in the top left corner of the painting to create distance. This gives the image of a higher place such as the realm of some sort of heaven.
