Mike Filippello started painting in 2003. He paints primarily in acrylics on canvasboard. One of his early paintings "Autumn Skies over Kensington Knolls" was published in Decor Magazine in February 2006. In March 2007 he was published in Art Business News as an Emerging Artist. Mike is also a published author and illustrator of his first children's book "Miratambo Moonsong" which was published in 2004. He is now seeking to find a publisher of his next book "In  A Place Called Barrontippeny" which is the follow up to "Miratambo Moonsong."

Recently Mike started painting miniature folk art paintings on wooden clothespins. 
Mike Filippello lives in upstate New York with his wife Tricia, and his French Poodle Puppy--"Lord Geppetto Montague of Rosebriar Legend." and their Calico Cat "Duchess Kismet Tsabella."

Mike is currently a full time student in Information Technology at a local community college. He continues to write, and illustrate his own children's books, as well as paint whimsical folk art paintings.
