I have the good fortune of being  a full-time professional artist and love every minute of it. I was born in a small fishing town on the east coast of Scotland (I think it has become quite a large town now) but we eventually moved inland to the historic town of Stirling, where I studied at Falkirk College.

A few years ago I moved home to the seaside resort of Cleveleys, in Lancashire in the North west of England, where I now run my own weekly Painting Classes. This is not too far from The Lake District in Cumbria, a lovely place to visit and just like Scotland, a great source of inspiration for paintings.

I visit Scotland quite a few times each year to exhibit my work, one of my favourite venues is the Art Mart held in the beautiful city of Perth every May. This gives me the opportunity to do some touring, so I make plenty of sketches and take hundreds of photos of locations for future paintings. I paint almost any subject, and work with various mediums, Oils, Watercolour, Acrylics, and Pastels.

I exibit my paintings regularly, either in group or solo exhibitions, and my work can be found in private collections in the UK and abroad.
